Cinimex Improves Its Position in CNews Analytics’ Ranking of Russia’s Largest Software Developers
Cinimex has strengthened its position in the annual “Russia’s Largest Software Developers 2025” ranking compiled by CNews Analytics. According to the results of the study, the company climbed 17 positions to rank 36th.
The ranking includes the 100 largest Russian developers of hardware and software, including SaaS solution providers, and reflects the current state of the domestic IT development market.
According to CNews Analytics analysts, the Russian IT market in 2025–2026 has moved beyond the stage of emergency import substitution toward a more mature development model. The focus is shifting to deep business process automation, improving operational efficiency, and building resilient digital infrastructure.
Experts note that market growth is expected to moderate in the coming years compared with the 2022–2024 period. At the same time, the development of the industry is becoming more qualitative, with companies focusing on building a long-term technology foundation, adopting artificial intelligence, strengthening cyber resilience, and further developing locally produced software solutions. Government support and import substitution remain important market drivers, while changes in the technology landscape and growing business demand for advanced digital solutions are playing an increasingly significant role.
Another notable trend highlighted by the analysts is market consolidation. Major Russian developers are increasingly building their own product ecosystems in an effort to offer customers a comprehensive technology stack. At the same time, partnerships between IT companies are becoming stronger, helping them address growing workloads and deliver large-scale projects more effectively.
Customer priorities are also changing. Against the backdrop of tighter IT budgets and persistently high interest rates, companies are taking a more measured approach to digital transformation. While the focus previously was primarily on the speed of import substitution and solution functionality, key criteria today include reliability, resilience, product maturity, and a clear long-term development strategy.
